June: Week 1

May 30-June 5

way. too. busy.

this was 'supposed' to be a 4 day work week...

but instead of 32 hours...

I put in over 64 hours.

yes... more than twice that.

Sunday, after church, before the craziness began.
Oops, this photo is from Tuesday.
Emily's hair in two sweet little french braids. :)
Tuesday: tech week for the show.
Erin and a couple of other super parents and colleagues helped us pull it all together!
Wednesday, at one of our dress rehearsals.
Thursday, time for a cast photo:
these are my kiddos :)
Friday, after the show.
{huge sigh of relief}
Tonight was fantastic!
We sold out the show and the kids did wonderfully!
Today's show went well too.
Afterwards we went to the cast party at Robin's house.
As glad as I am to have this over and done with,
I am going to miss these kids. :)
Emily had a BLAST at the party!
Those 8th graders were super sweet to her,
playing with her in the pool and giving her lots of attention. :)
Summer is so close... I can just about taste it!!!

Especially for the Grandparents...

This post is "for the grandparents" because it's just a bunch of photos of our sweet little girl on Sunday afternoon and we all know how much grandparents love pictures of their grandchildren. :)
::showing off her 'pitty fower'::
::and applying her beloved chapstick::
(her "whipstick")

::giving her mama a kiss::

Have a great rest of your week!!

May Week 4

May Week 4.
Not a very exciting week for pictures.
It was a REALLY busy week.
Next week will be crazy too.
Lots of concerts, rehearsals, etc.
BUT.... only TWO weeks of school left!!!!

A happy change from the ordinary routine:
Chrissy's in town!
(This is a horrible picture of me, and well, the lighting, and curtain and everything is pretty poor, but it's the best I've got, & the memory is worth documenting, even if it's with a bad pic!)

We had our end of the year orchestra concert tonight.
It went really well. Despite all the work that goes in to a night like tonight, I really enjoyed it, and was very proud of my kids. :)
a tulip from my bouquet from the parents' association
isn't this a cool flower?
do you know what it is?
please... do tell :)
be-a-utiful roses from a sweet student :)

Emily's first fortune cookie.
It's an awfully strange fortune...
...I'm not really sure what to think about it.
oh well.
I hosted the Annual Music Faculty Dinner this year.
It was super casual, and I think we all had a great time.
Emily got into a colleague's purse and tried on her lipstick :p
SO many flowers!
I guess this is one of the perks of our end of the year concerts! :)

See you next week!
