Em and I are spending a lot of time at home the two of us while Pete works. Today he's at Disney, tomorrow at a salsa gig... I'm proud of him for working so hard... but of course wish he was home more...
It's teacher appreciation week this week and today we had a luncheon at the elementary school with yummy chicken salad sandwiches on croissants. :) mmm
Em has been giving me a bit of attitude when I pick her up at Kathy's. She suddenly seems to hate riding in the car, yet when her seat's in the house, she wants to play in it non-stop. hmm. I think my precious little girl might be reaching the 'terrible two's' a little bit early. Oh well. She's still as sweet as can be (most of the time) :)
Six years ago today, Pete and I went out for churros type donut things that you dip in chocolate, then I went to the park to do school work while he ran some errands. We spent the afternoon exploring gardens and museums, we went to a concert that evening, then out for tapas at the local Argentinian tapas place, then for a walk along the Guadalquivir, stopping near the Torre del Oro, where Pete got down on one knee and asked me to marry him. Six years. Can you believe it?
On a completely different note, I took my middle school girls choir to the Cerritos Performing Arts Center today and the performance was fantastic... I think the girls really enjoyed it, especially a song she sang about a "latte boy" that she had a crush on. Ahh... middle school crushes ;)
