June 20

Sea World San Diego!
We introduced Emily to Shamu and his friends (from a safe distance of course!) and she had so much fun!  We were there with Matt, Sandy and Fabio for part of the day, and just the 3 of us for awhile too :)
Since Sea World does a 'buy one day, get the rest of the year free' promotion, we look forward to going back many times!

We went to San Diego for the weekend, but before we left we were hanging out in the living room and if you look closely, you'll see Em has both feet in one of Pete's shoes :)

The carousel is in San Diego--she loved it!

Thursday.
This is Em's good friend Chloe, the daughter of some of our good friends.
Her family was out for the day, so she came over after day care to play for awhile.  They had fun, but we also learned that while Em is good at sharing some toys, there are some (like baby) that she is definitely NOT ready to share.  Hm.
Here she is hugging Chloe to say sorry for ripping baby out of her hands.  (Oh dear... time for some parental intervention.)

Aren't they cute little girls?!   :)

We got up early this morning to have a final breakfast with friends before the Groens leave for Haiti.  I didn't get to stay though, because I spent the day teaching string lessons from our home.

Tuesday.
"Sid the Science Kid" has become part of our morning ritual of cartoon watching in pajamas before breakfast :)
After breakfast Em and I met up with Jamie and little Hendrick for a walk through El Dorado Park.

We've been spending a lot of time playing wii fit, but tonight we skipped the video game workout in favor of some tasty dessert wine from our most recent wine tasting tours of the central coast and a good movie. :)
We finally decided on a Late Harvest Muscat Canelli, a little Dove chocolate and "The Curious Case of Benjamin Button".

ahh... the lazy days of summer...
these days we're spending a lot of time outside, enjoying the practically perfect weather.
