May 30

I threw a baby shower for Becky and baby Schrock today.  We decorated onesies and blessed baby and mom with words, cards, gifts and prayers.  It went well and I think everyone had a nice time.  :) Congratulations Becky!

May 29

I was 'supposed' to go to the VCES talent show tonight, but I was distracted by this sweetie and her daddy.  Instead of going out, we relaxed at home and had movie night.  :)  (I was happily surprised that her hair reaches into a little ponytail on the back of her head, too!)

so cute...and getting so big...
tonight was the "all orchestra & handbells night" which can be a bit stressful, but with this cutie, stress just melts away :)
this year pete wrote his first string piece (well, arrangement) and we played it tonight, with all 104 vcs string players, and it was great!
all in all, it was a great night full of wonderful music!

This is what I came home to find today.  Obviously, Daddy dressed her today :)  If you look closely, you might be able to tell her pants are actually on backwards, she's wearing a pajama top and yes, (according to Pete) her hair is "done".  :)  (I love you, babe!!)

Tonight is the end of the year band concert, my final orchestra concert is tomorrow, so I was only home briefly before heading off to help with tonight's concert.
These are definitely busy days!

We have tomatoes!  (yah, yah... so they're not red yet, but that'll come!)  :)

Happy Memorial Day!
As you can see, we had a relaxing visit :)

May 24

Pete, Michael, David and I went for a driving tour of LA late Saturday night (so technically, Sunday morning :) and I don't have another Sunday photo!)
David had mentioned that even though he comes to LA often, there was a lot of stuff he hadn't seen.  Highlights of our trip included:
Diddy Reese's in Westwood (where the mysterious spiderman action figure shown in photo appeared on our car while we were getting delicious ice cream sandwiches),
Paramount Pictures and 20th Century Fox Studios, Hollywood with all the theaters and 'glamour', a drive past Aunt Carol's old house, Rodeo Drive and a tour of Beverly Hills, Downtown LA with Walt Disney Concert Hall and more.  Thanks for driving, Pete!
